Team tryouts for the 2011/2012 season have been completed.  However, some teams may still be looking for one or two players

Teams are formed in the spring to begin play in the following fall, when official rosters take effect (September 1).  BY NJYSA policy, team rosters are in effect from formation, through August 31.  Teams are formed based first on single birth year groupings and then on divisional groupings.  To provide the highest level of competition possible, the Club will roster a primary team, and second team if possible, at each single birth year distinction, comprised of the strongest players for that age group. Separate teams will be formed for boys and girls. 

Tryouts will be held for boys and girls of each distinct birth year designation as defined by NJYSA (August 1 - July 31).  Current NHSC (returning) players are selected and placed on teams based on coach and trainer playing season evaluations and assessments by trainers during the ’tryouts.’  Prospective players (new) are considered to be trying out for NHSC teams in general and not for a specific team but rather by age group.  Prospective players are assessed based on previous playing experience and evaluations during the tryout.  Any player wanting to be considered for a team must tryout.  Every player of proper age is permitted to tryout for a team.  The club will strive to maximize the number of players offered the benefits of playing travel soccer.

Selection for a team invokes a commitment on the part of the player to attend all practices and games and to participate in both the fall and spring seasons.

Any player wishing to try out for an older age team (’playing up’) must receive approval prior to tryouts.
