U16 Boys - Attack

The North Hunterdon Attack is a U16 Boys team playing in one of the premier divisions of the CJYSA MAPS (Mid-Atlantic Premier Soccer) League. The team is made up predominantly of local boys from a number of towns in Hunterdon County but there are also team members from the surrounding area who have joined the squad over the years.

The Attack has enjoyed some competitive success over the past couple seasons, capped by its run to the New Jersey State Cup championship final match in the fall of 2008. This catapulted the team to its current position as the third-ranked team in the State and 15th ranked team in Region One (from Maine to Virginia) according to the National Soccer Ranking service. The Attack also reached the State Cup semifinals in the fall of 2007.

The Attack are made up of serious soccer players who have trained for years and take their training to heart. The team includes New Jersey State ODP team members and others who have played on top-five nationally ranked 3v3 squads. The Attack’s other recent accomplishments include winning the 2008 Jersey Shore Champions Cup, reaching the finals of both the 2008 MAPS/MSSL Spring Challenge and 2008 East Brunswick Labor Day tournament, reaching the semifinals of the prestigious 2009 Jefferson Cup Boys Showcase tournament in Richmond, Virginia and winning their group in the top flight of the 2009 PDA Spring Kickoff tournament. 

Justin Makar (Head Coach - Boys U16 Attack)
Lafayette College men’s assistant coach. Justin joins Lafayatte for his first year on College Hill. Justin previously coached at his alma mater, Susquehanna for three seasons.  Justin currently holds a National Coaching Diploma from the NSCAA.
