FC Magic Players Have Great Success at College Level

Here is a summary of some of the successes the FC Magic (U-20) college level players had this year:

 

Bryan Davis  – Monmouth University - Northeast Conference Regular Season and NEC Conference Champions.  Bryan competed in the first two rounds of the 2009 NCAA Division I tournament.  Monmouth ranked #13 in the final 2009 National Soccer Coaches Association (NSCAA)/adidas National Rankings.

 

Bryan Dornseif – Campbell University - Atlantic Sun Conference Regular Season Championship

 

Kevin Hueber – Johns Hopkins - competed in the 2009 NCAA Division III Soccer Sweet 16. Kevin was named to the ECAC South All-Star Second Team and earned First Team All-Centennial honors in 2009 for 10th-ranked Hopkins.

 

Shane Jeffery – Iona College - Metro Atlantic Athletic Conference (MAAC) regular season championship

 

Joe Strawman - William Paterson University - selected to the 2009 National Soccer Coaches Association (NSCAA) All-South Atlantic Region First Team. 

Joe was also named this fall’s New Jersey Athletic Conference (NJAC) Men’s Soccer Co-Defensive Player of the Year as well as a two-time member of the All-NJAC First Team (2008-09).

 

Chelsea Tompkins – The College of New Jersey (TCNJ) - 2009 NCAA Division III Women’s Semi-final in San Antonio, Texas.

 

Nick Callari, Kellen Hinkle - Drew University - 2009 ECAC Metro Men’s Soccer Championship

Magic Player Competes in 2008 NCAA Division III Sweet Sixteen

Kevin Hueber, former member of the state runner up U18B and U19B Magic, competed in the 2008 NCAA Division III Soccer Sweet 16 with Johns Hopkins. Congratulations to Kevin and continued soccer success at Johns Hopkins.

Joe Strawman, former member of the state runner up U18B and U19B Magic, earned first-team honors in the 2008 National Soccer Coaches Association of America (NSCAA) All-Metro Region Team. Congratulations to Joe and continued success at William Paterson University.

Magic Player Competes in 2007 NCAA Division I Soccer Final Four

Chris Vaccaro, former member of the state runner up U18B Magic, competed in the 2007 NCAA Division I Soccer Final Four with the University of Massachusettes.  Congratulations to Chris and continued soccer success at UMASS.

College Commitments

North Hunterdon Soccer Club would like to highlight some of members of the 2006-07 Magic U18 team
which are now playing college soccer at various levels.  The Magic team had a great run in the New Jersey Youth Soccer
National Championship, eventually falling in the state Finals to NY/NJ Red Bulls Youth Academy.  We wish them much success with their college soccer careers.
